Requirements

Valid CDL Class A Driver’s License with prior road experience
Clean driving record
Ability to read, write, and speak English well
Millwork product knowledge (helpful)
Material handling experience (helpful)
Pass post-offer screening drug test, physical, and background check
Ability to lift 75+ lbs repeatedly
Ability to perform physical demands: driving, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting/carrying, reading, looking, hearing
Ability to work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, cold, heat) and on slippery, wet, bumpy job site surfaces
Maintain all required certifications by DOT, OSHA, and company safety programs
Required tools/clothing: work boots, tape measure, work gloves, lunch box/tote, all weather gear (no hooded sweatshirts with strings)
Safety conscious and customer-focused with top-notch customer service skills

Responsibilities

Review truck route manifest with dispatcher prior to daily departure
Pre-inspect truck (fluid levels, lights, repairs) using checklist to ensure safe to drive
Pre-inspect load to ensure properly secured
Drive safely to job site at posted speed limits (no cell phone use while driving)
At site arrival, ensure safe environment to unload and communicate hazards to onsite management or dispatcher
Inspect products during unloading for quality, quantity, size, style, and color using delivery tickets and product knowledge
Communicate regularly with dispatcher for timely delivery, report damaged material, maintain neat/legible trip records and reports
Perform after-operation user maintenance and provide required reports
Report incidents or injuries immediately to dispatcher
Maintain safe and clean truck
Maintain positive company image with healthy attitude and thank customers at every delivery
Uphold company mission/values/goals, contribute to continuous improvement, and maintain work areas to 5S standards (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain & Safety)
