Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for all assigned parts in collaboration with and in-line with Aptiv’s global category strategy
  • Manage assigned Suppliers’ performance, including delivery, costs, quality, and support quotes for new business pursuits while adhering to Aptiv’s processes, procedures and meeting or exceeding assigned business’ financial targets
  • Negotiate Material Performance to meet annual targets, material to revenue ratio and business case financials
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to review performance to targets, address performance gaps, develop future projects and discuss strategic alignment between Supplier and APTIV
  • Monitor bill of material changes, components prices changes and process changes and if needed propose price list adjustment
  • Create, issue and maintain frame contracts with the supplier base according ASCM policies and procedures. Ensure that the negotiated conditions are implemented in the sites. Consider quality, Service (PC&L), Technology, Price and Timing of needed products
  • Collect total information: volumes, prices, spec. other conditions for new projects as well as for all other running projects. Use this information as a basis for purchasing strategy and communicate this information to the finally selected supplier base
  • In cooperation with Category Manager and GPL develop suppliers for new programs
  • Monitor the quality of suppliers and propose actions to improve suppliers quality
  • Use Category Strategy to conduct sourcings
  • Support Start Centers and GPLs in new RFQs processes for CM
  • Report results in the required format and make proposals to Category Managers, Category Teams and to the Sourcing Committee
  • Consider the needs and concerns of the individual plants when making a Sourcing Recommendation
  • Assure compliance with local procedures, company processes and work instructions
