Clear understanding of all BJ’s Membership options, including the importance of renewals and upgrading to BJ’s Loyalty programs
Ability to provide a high level of customer service to Members
Proficiency in scanning merchandise through a point-of-sale system for accurate inventory counts and purchase totals
Capability to collect payments via cash, check, or other charge payments and issue receipts or change
Knowledge of merchandise promotions, advertisements, product information, and ability to scan and redeem coupons
Commitment to maintaining cleanliness of the frontline area and assisting in general club housekeeping
Ability to return re-sellable merchandise to the sales floor
Adherence to club policies, procedures, compliance, GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate), and club standards (e.g., Grand Opening Look, stocking, signage)
Responsibilities
Process Member purchases courteously and friendly, including verifying, renewing, upgrading, and offering membership products
Scan merchandise and accept various forms of payments
Provide excellent member service efficiently and productively
Offer appropriate membership products such as renewals, EASY renewal option, BJ’s Loyalty programs, and Rewards redemption
Check Members out in a timely and efficient manner
Fill shopping carts when necessary and assist at self-checkout stations
Stay up to date on all merchandise promotions, advertisements, and product information; discount purchases by scanning and redeeming coupons
Maintain the overall cleanliness of the front-line department and assist in general club housekeeping
Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies and compliance, act with honesty and integrity, ensure a safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity, work as a team, and deliver service excellence
Resolve and deescalate member concerns, escalate as appropriate, and commit daily to GOLD Member Standards and club standards
