Requirements

  • Minimum of eight years related work experience. Supervisory experience preferred
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred
  • Deep expertise in broker-dealer cash management accounts, payment systems, card operations, and related regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg CC, Reg DD, NACHA), with the ability to apply regulatory knowledge to product design, risk assessment, and operational controls
  • Strong understanding of broker-dealer cash management accounts and related regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg CC, Reg DD, NACHA), payment rails, card operations, and related functions
  • Strong background in risk management, with demonstrated experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating operational and regulatory risks within financial services, particularly in broker-dealer and cash product environments

Responsibilities

  • Lead risk oversight for the Cash Plus product, ensuring regulatory compliance and operational integrity across broker-dealer cash management functions
  • Translate complex financial regulations (e.g., Reg E, Reg CC, Reg DD, NACHA) into effective product design, risk frameworks, and operational control strategies
  • Manage staff; develop, mentor, and provide guidance, training, and motivation. Conduct regular one-on-one and team meetings. Hire, evaluate, and counsel team members. Follow corporate disciplinary procedures. Set performance standards, review performance, provide feedback, and recommend wage increases per HR policies
  • Provide risk guidance, oversight, and assurance services to the enterprise and partners based on the operational and strategic risk framework. Seek ideas from divisions to improve oversight and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Implement and manage risk and control management standards within divisional processes. Identify and prioritize risks and advise on control design and testing. Communicate strategies effectively
  • Ensure appropriate levels of review and key controls, verifying they are designed and operating effectively
  • Provide consultation and analytical support to stakeholders, ensuring internal controls are implemented without compromising client service
  • Partner with divisional leadership to integrate business risk and control decisions into technology, service, or operating model changes. Proactively raise and execute plans to address key issues
  • Develop, maintain, and evolve a program for monitoring and analyzing controls. Establish metrics, dashboards, and reports to identify opportunities and monitor effectiveness. Report on control performance to leadership
  • Maintain broad knowledge of the investment industry, risk management practices, and regulatory changes. Serve as a subject matter expert in risk management discussions
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned
