Responsibilities

  • Organize and review seasonal planning activities for produce, collaborating with Sourcing Managers, Merchants, and DMMs across international markets, using insights from previous seasons and country-of-origin data
  • Initiate and manage the setup process for new international produce suppliers, ensuring all supplier IDs and documentation are in place for cross-border business
  • Align on volume, quality standards, sizes, specifications, and expected costs for produce items with international Sourcing Managers, tailored to Merchant and market needs
  • Coordinate with cross-functional and global teams to communicate upcoming produce programs, validate international logistics capabilities, and provide visibility for import/export operations
  • Work with Sourcing Managers to complete all regulatory and customs documentation (including H.T.S. codes) for produce imports, ensuring smooth and compliant entry into the market
  • Oversee item creation for new produce SKUs, collaborating with imports teams and merchants to ensure accuracy and readiness for international distribution
  • Monitor purchase order generation and tracking for international produce shipments, ensuring alignment with MABD and timely delivery
  • Partner with Imports and Global Logistics to validate on-time departures, manage cancellations, and provide alternative supply solutions for produce, in collaboration with Sourcing Managers
  • Ensure all international produce suppliers comply with documentation, food safety, and sanitary requirements set by relevant authorities, preventing customs delays and quality issues
  • Coordinate with Quality teams to address produce rejections, negotiate claims with international suppliers, and implement corrective actions
  • Lead KPI sessions with Sourcing Managers and Merchants to review produce category performance, address supply deviations, and develop solutions for continuous improvement
