Requirements

High School or GED Equivalent; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Ability to work specified hours: Monday-Friday (8 hour shifts) 7:30am-4:00pm with some 6:00am-2:30pm, every other weekend/holiday

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of customer service in the cafeteria, cashier island, dish room, deli, dining room, and vending restocking
Manage all areas of the cafeteria including dish room, serving and dining areas, and cashiering
Obtain, inventory, display, and replenish hot and cold foods as needed
Notify security to retrieve and secure daily banks, and replenish coins or currency for cafeteria operation
Operate cash terminal, print reports, reconcile audit to cash drawer total, and deposit cash in Security depository with escort
Record temperatures of hot and cold foods, refrigerators, and freezers
Assist with collection and maintenance of records for State and local Health Department, Joint Commission, OSHA, department standards, or legal requirements
Assist with catering functions including assembly, display, and clean-up
Handle cafeteria inventory restocking and signage
Complete assigned daily cleaning schedule including work area, equipment, pans, and small wares per Serve Safe, Health Department, and department standards
Document abnormal or unusual situations, accidents/injuries, incidents, and Code Red information for Manager/Supervisor
Deliver excellent customer service using Food and Nutrition Services scripts
Stock and clean cafeteria dining room, patio area (tables, chairs, floor, cabinets, trash receptacles, microwaves)
