Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent applicable experience
  • 2-4 years’ experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting IT systems
  • Comfortable working with multiple software and hardware platforms, including servers, workstations, and network equipment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with ability to support both technical and non-technical users
  • Experience documenting technical issues and solutions in ticketing systems and project deliverables
  • Experience with administering Active Directory
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database structures
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively in fast-paced, mission-critical environments, including after-hours or on-call support
  • CompTIA Security+ CE certification (preferred) or must be obtained within 6 months of hire date
  • Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • Must be able to travel as needed to customer sites (30% travel)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as it relates to conveying technical information internally and externally
  • Ability to investigate problems or malfunctions and recommend solutions or corrective actions
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team with little supervision and guidance
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position and operate a computer for extended periods
  • Occasional ability to move or transport items up to 25 pounds
  • Communicate effectively in English (verbal, written) and possess visual and auditory acuity for tasks and safety
  • Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and maintain focus in dynamic environments
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and high professional standards

Responsibilities

  • Installation, configuration, and testing of Hexagon Public Safety products and interfaces in both on-premises and cloud-hosted environments
  • Supporting agencies such as Police, Fire, and EMS
  • Travel to customer sites to provide hands-on support, including maintaining existing Hexagon systems, troubleshooting technical issues, or leading the deployment of new solutions
  • Technical problem-solving, collaboration with teammates, and direct engagement with customers to ensure their systems run seamlessly in 24/7 operational environments
  • Providing solutions to a variety of complex customer problems by utilizing strengths in troubleshooting and implementations
  • Applying technical and functional knowledge in contributing to project delivery for clients in the Public Safety industry
  • Sharing knowledge and assisting others in the completion of their tasks to support team goals
  • Keeping abreast of changing software technology
  • Working directly with customers in solving hardware/software problems
