Responsibilities

  • Purchase materials in accordance with Plexus management guidelines and customer contract terms regarding AVL adherence, unit price, quality, and delivery
  • Make tactical buying decisions for placement and management of purchase orders, including order placement, rescheduling, cancellations, and resolution of non-conforming material, goods-in discrepancies, and invoice queries
  • Minimize inventory while maintaining adequate material to meet production plans
  • Initiate appropriate corrective actions and escalations to avoid impacting the production schedule
  • Collaboratively manage procurement automation processes, including optimizing, troubleshooting, and ensuring data integrity within automation systems to support efficient and accurate purchasing
  • Make tactical decisions on when to leverage automation versus request exceptions in procurement execution
