Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technology field from a college or university, or comparable industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst, ideally in the payments or financial technology space
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Scrum teams
  • Familiarity with payment gateway technologies and card payments processing
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for managing Agile workflows and documentation
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Problem-solving skills to tackle complex issues with attention to detail
  • Active listening and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
  • Adaptability to handle changing priorities
  • Ownership of work with follow-through to delivery
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and subject matter experts, to gather and define business requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Work as part of an Agile delivery team, participating in Scrum ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives) and ensuring that all requirements outlined on product briefs and technical solutions are clearly documented and prioritised in the product backlog
  • Provide detailed system analysis, including process flow diagrams, data models, and system design documents that ensure technical teams fully understand business needs
  • Write clear and concise user stories and acceptance criteria in collaboration with the product manager and other team members
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on requirements, timelines, and expectations
  • Provide support in investigating and resolving issues that arise during development, testing, or production stages, ensuring timely and effective solutions are implemented
  • Support the QA team by validating system changes ensuring they meet the specified business requirements
  • Work with the team to identify process improvements and optimise ways of working within Agile and product-centric environments
  • Leverage knowledge of the card payments industry and payment gateway solutions to provide valuable insights and ensure solutions are compliant with industry standards, security regulations, and best practices
