Responsibilities

  • Develops business plans and formulates strategies for both new and existing businesses
  • Monitors and analyzes product lines to help determine optimal strategy
  • Provides research, analysis, and recommendations on the external environment as part of the development of strategic plans for the business unit
  • Analyzes major competitor strategies
  • Identifies and monitors changing patterns of competition and recommends response
  • Acquires and maintains data/information on market, industry, economic, consumer, and competitive conditions and trends pertaining to health insurance/managed care and related services
  • May lead or coordinate the activities of lower level staff performing related functions
  • Manages and is accountable for developing and executing JAA business readiness in response to Anthem projects (SSCRs, PORs), including leading TPA communications, federal and association mandates, and market readiness initiatives for sales and account management
  • Supports internal teams (Sales, Operations, Implementation) with research and resolution of escalated issues
  • Identifies and tracks changes, issues, and patterns, and recommends solutions and/or appropriate responses
  • Serves as the primary liaison between Payors, Operations, and Sales to service providers
