Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, data engineering, or business relationship management, preferably in the healthcare or life sciences industry
  • Knowledge of business-wide applications (e.g., third-party software and internal operational applications) or IQVIA client-facing applications and products
  • Demonstrated ability to understand client requirements as well as underlying infrastructure applications, systems, and processes
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, Tableau) and familiarity with database management systems
  • Experience with data pipeline development and ETL processes
  • Strong understanding of business process modeling, requirements gathering, and project management methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Thorough knowledge of IQVIA data and current systems (a plus)
  • Familiarity with Snowflake (a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and define systems scope and objectives based on user needs and understanding of applicable business systems and requirements
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems, considering equipment capacity, limitations, operating time, and desired results
  • Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and translate into proper system requirement specifications
  • Prioritize development items to ensure alignment with business goals
  • Work closely with US/Canada business unit to understand their data and reporting needs
  • Identify and prioritize additional data fields and elements required for more granular reporting and analytics
  • Analyze current data availability and identify gaps in data needed to meet business reporting and analytic requirements
  • Define and document necessary transformations required to combine business unit data with enterprise-level data in the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP)
  • Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines to ingest data from various sources into the EDP
  • Assist in the development of scalable processes to ensure efficient data flow and integration for the US/Canada business
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the US/Canada business unit for all data and IT-related matters
  • Foster a strong relationship between the business and Enterprise System, acting as a strategic partner to align technology solutions with business needs
  • Facilitate regular communications between the business and EDP team to ensure ongoing collaboration and transparency
  • Attend daily stand-up calls with the development team to gain status updates and address team queries
