Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • For B level: Minimum one (1) year relevant experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry
  • For A level: Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Building Maintenance Technician B or at least three (3) years equivalent experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or carpentry
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
  • Electrician or HVAC license or CFC refrigerant certification preferred; must be willing to pursue the certification
  • PSO Building Maint Techs (Tulsa location): City of Tulsa 1st Class Engineer license required in lieu of testing
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational, problem solving and communication skills
  • Ability to read, interpret, review, revise, and correct blueprints, drawings, schematics, specifications and instructions
  • Ability to utilize a computer
  • Successfully pass the HireVue virtual job tryout - Building Maintenance
  • Willingness to work overtime, overnight travel, scheduled/unscheduled weekend and evening shifts, and respond to emergency call outs
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather
  • Physical demands: Constant standing; frequent walking; occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, squatting, kneeling; lifting/moving/carrying equipment up to and in excess of 50 lbs; work at heights

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative/predictive maintenance on, troubleshoot, repair, install and operate HVAC-related equipment, emergency generators, and general building mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in accordance with industry standards and codes
  • Perform general building maintenance and repair related to drywall, masonry, painting, ceilings, roofing, tile, carpets, windows and other related items
  • Monitor the work of, communicate effectively with, and/or assist contractors engaged in maintenance, construction and operation activities; ensure compliance with contract terms, company safety, security, environmental and conduct rules
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including assemble, move, repair, hang and adjust furniture, wall hangings, doors, windows and other office items; assist in snow removal, storm damage cleanup, lawn maintenance, spill cleanup, inventory management
  • Procure necessary quality parts and material in the most economical and accepted manner
  • Maintain records, including inspection documentation, and submit reports as required
  • Under limited supervision, perform skilled work involving the operation, maintenance, repair, alteration and additions to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical building systems, building furnishings and site improvements
