Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a science, technical, or business field (or at least 3 years’ equivalent work experience)
  • Experience leading projects across a global organization (desirable)
  • Solid track record running projects in a complex manufacturing environment
  • Experience with significant capital investment projects, establishing new sites, product transfers, or consolidations (desirable)
  • Confirmed understanding of project management tools and methodology
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interact and collaborate across departments, business unit leadership, and Thermo Fisher divisions
  • Ability to influence others and partner cross-functionally
  • Strong communication and social skills
  • Strong team building skills and ability to work with diverse groups to develop credibility and positive professional relationships
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 25% as required

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects in support of global operations strategy for the Life Science Solutions Group (and other groups/divisions as needed), ensuring delivery on time and with desired outcomes
  • Lead and motivate project teams consisting of subject matter experts and functional leaders
  • Ensure projects adhere to the BTO project management process
  • Exercise high degree of autonomy to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Initiate, plan, and implement assigned projects using standard work
  • Build and present project report outs to leadership
  • Craft project plans with supporting analysis
  • Lead project teams, which may be at remote locations
  • Form relationships with business leaders and divisional teams to drive efficiency in project approval and implementation phases
