Requirements

  • Some relevant experience and skills developed through training or work
  • Ability to operate all machinery, including mixers and proof machines
  • Ability to learn mixing, baking, and table work
  • Ability to ensure product quality (weights, appearance, etc.) as it is trayed up
  • Ability to follow safe, sanitary food handling policies to prevent contamination and food borne illnesses
  • Ability to work with deadlines and follow directions
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production line environment
  • Flexible work schedule, including weekends, occasional Tuesdays, Sundays, and holidays
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to read and understand mix formulas, use digital and balance scales
  • Ability to run bread machines and keep count of dough in dividers
  • Ability to set up equipment to form different types and shapes of bread, put bread in pans or on trays, and place on racks for baking
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Constant bending, stretching, and good eye/hand coordination
  • Ability to pull and push carts filled with dough and mixes
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Run bread machines and keep count of dough in dividers

  • Put bread in pans or on trays and place on racks for baking
  • Clean work areas
  • Wash all equipment
  • Take out trash
  • Occasionally work in other production areas as needed
