Operational work experience, including strong experience in the management of a technical department
An understanding of quality management system, planning and logistics
Ability to drive continuous improvement in maintenance, safety, quality and customer service
Capacity to build and retain a cohesive and effective operational team
Experience in change management, Lean Six Sigma and ISO accreditation
Oral and written proficiency in English
Computer literate including MS Office
Willingness to travel occasionally to our European Support office in the Netherlands

Maximise the efficiency of our service organisation
Ensure the timely and cost-effective maintenance and repair of the rental fleet
Take responsibility for the delivery, installation and removal of our equipment on clients’ sites
Ensure compliance with internal and external QHSE policies
Actively contribute to and implement European-wide initiatives
Oversee the creation, fit-out and start-up of Scotland’s first United Rentals location for Power and Tools
Recruitment and management of the new branch team
