Position Overview

Dane Street is seeking physicians to join our expanding physician panel. This is a telework opportunity offering supplemental income. As a Physician Reviewer/Advisor, you will leverage your clinical expertise to review medical records and provide independent, professional opinions on claimant functionality and restrictions/limitations related to disability benefit applications. Determinations are based on the clinical evidence within the provided medical records.

Requirements

• Board certification required.
• Active practice required.

Responsibilities

• Accept cases on a contract basis according to your schedule.
• Review all provided medical records.
• Address questions posed using client-specific or nationally recognized evidence-based criteria.
• Opine on disability status based on clinical evidence.
• Ensure clear, concise rationale for determinations, substantiated by adequate documentation.
• Identify and utilize current criteria and resources (national, state, professional association guidelines, peer-reviewed literature) to support sound and objective decision-making.
• Refrain from using case studies or cohorts for decision-making.
• Provide a report and copies of any criteria utilized within the review promptly.
• Return cases on or before the specified due date and time.
• Complete peer-to-peer calls/call attempts as required by client protocol for clarification and additional information.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including providing addenda (with additional compensation), addressing quality assurance issues, complaints, and regulatory matters.
