Responsibilities

The physician reviewer will utilize clinical expertise to review insurance appeals and prospective and retrospective claims, providing an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client-specific policies and evidence-based guidelines. They will ensure clear and concise rationales with supporting documentation, identify and utilize relevant criteria and resources, provide timely copies of utilized criteria, and maintain proper credentialing and state licenses while attending required training and addressing quality assurance issues.
