Requirements

  • Strong software engineering fundamentals
  • Experience developing software applications utilizing a high-level language such as Python, Java, C#, or C++
  • Good understanding or interest in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Molecular Biology, Oncology, or related field
  • Ability to work in a Linux environment
  • Normally require Bachelor with 2 years of applicable experience
  • Be curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with a proven ability to learn quickly
  • Be customer-focused, team-oriented, and motivated, taking ownership of assigned tasks
  • Proven ability to self-manage, as well as manage interdisciplinary relationships
  • Good verbal and written communication and troubleshooting skills
  • (Preferred) Experience in designing or architecting automated verification framework and tests
  • (Preferred) Experience with CI/CD and related tools
  • (Preferred) Experience with cloud technologies

Responsibilities

  • Work independently in cross-functional teams to lead the testing effort for data analysis software
  • Design and implement automated software verification framework and scripts
  • Work with bioinformatics scientists for data analysis, trouble shooting, and bioinformatics tool development
  • Participate in Code and Design Reviews
  • Ensure Software Development Life Cycle procedures are followed
  • Collaborate with peers to identify opportunities for process improvements
