Description: Parallel is seeking licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to support our school partnerships in Georgia for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for bilingual SLPs who are fluent in Spanish or other languages to provide exceptional care and empower students with learning differences.
Requirements
- Licensure: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience providing IEP-directed therapy and evaluations in a school setting (CFY not included)
- IEP Experience: Experience in IEP meetings, case management, and completing educational eligibility determinations and comprehensive reports.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability to provide services and communicate effectively in both languages.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage children from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Technology: Comfort with technology and virtual telehealth platforms.
- Availability: Availability during school hours (8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday).
Responsibilities
- Conduct SLP evaluations and deliver direct services to children.
- Provide bilingual (Spanish-English) therapy services to meet the needs of diverse students and families.
- Translate evaluations, reports, and educational materials between English and Spanish as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop treatment plans and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), focusing on specific SLP goals.
- Continuously monitor each child's progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Effectively communicate with parents, staff, and students regarding progress in both English and Spanish.
- Complete essential documentation for IEP reports, goals, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Meet with teachers, paraprofessionals, and specialists to discuss student needs, adaptations, and interventions.
- Actively participate in team meetings and work collaboratively to ensure every student's success.
