Requirements

  • 6 months of prior experience in sales required
  • Insurance sales experience preferred
  • A valid insurance license for assigned State(s) is preferred. If not already licensed, must obtain Property and Casualty license (including non-resident license as needed) within 90 days of employment and pass licensing exam within two attempts
  • Must be proficient in Spanish and English (Bilingual English/Spanish)
  • Above average communication skills
  • Previous experience with Excel, Word, and web-based systems preferred
  • Experience with and the ability to use a PC to perform daily duties required
  • Must be detail oriented, accurate, and able to work independently following strict procedural guidelines
  • Ability to work a fluctuating schedule including evening and weekend hours based on business need

Responsibilities

  • Prospects insurance leads from internal and external sources
  • Engages customers via inbound and outbound telephone calls to assess insurance needs and rating variables
  • Completes sale of policy by collecting down payment and uploading policy
  • Performs cross-selling on other services offered by the company and/or strategic partners (property insurance, commercial insurance, financial products, etc.)
  • Maintains records on customers including information about the consumer, source of lead, response to quote/offer application and policy according to procedures established by management
  • Forwards calls from customers that are not related to new quotes to appropriate personnel (questions about policy, changes, cancellations, etc.)
  • Completes all required training in a timely manner including detailed knowledge of Infinity products, coverages, and rating factors for all assigned states
  • Interacts with prospective customers in a professional manner to provide them with an insurance quote and, if purchased, converts the lead to an actual policy
  • Assists customers with other services as appropriate
