Requirements

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience translating and reviewing content within legal and marketing subject matter, demonstrating proficiency in various translation and terminology tools. They must be native fluent in the target language, hold a degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience, and be able to follow instructions such as character restrictions. Furthermore, experience working in a multi-vendor scenario is considered a plus, and the ability to perform machine translation post-editing is desired.

Responsibilities

The Bengali Language Lead Backup will act as an intermediary between the client and Welocalize linguists, maintaining overall quality and ensuring a fail rate below 97% by monitoring and interpreting LQE results, gathering changes, and sharing them with linguists. They will analyze deliverables, determine areas for improvement, support linguists in understanding corrections and clarifying client requirements, and participate in the arbitration process. Additionally, the role involves providing training to linguists, organizing calls to discuss corrections and requirements, documenting these conversations, and identifying potential issues with products or linguists to recommend reallocations. The Language Lead Backup will also support Welocalize in evaluating potential new candidates and contributing to root cause analysis and corrective action plans.
