Requirements

High School education or equivalent and two (2) years of responsible employment
Experience in Human Services or a related field preferred
Become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified within the first ninety (90) days in position (for Residential Care Facility (RCF) only)
For St. Louis County Programs: Bachelor’s Degree, OR MAADC I or II
Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle
Must be at least twenty-three (23) years of age to operate a company-owned vehicle (incomplete in description)

Responsibilities

Facilitate a safe and supportive environment for clients, ensuring their well-being and progress
Encourage positive social interaction and adaptive behaviors, fostering a solution-focused approach to challenges
Monitor and document client activities, behaviors, and progress, contributing to comprehensive treatment plans
Assist in the admission and orientation process for clients, including obtaining vital signs and facilitating necessary screenings
Administer medications under supervision, meticulously adhering to all policies and procedures
Screen and monitor clients for signs and symptoms of withdrawal, escalating concerns to medical personnel when critical symptoms present
Prepare for and facilitate rehabilitative support, education, recovery skills, or recreation groups
Provide client transportation to and from appointments as needed
Maintain accurate records of client medications and document self-administration or staff administration of medications
Ensure adherence to all precaution protocols and proper documentation
