Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and ideally have experience working with children, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder. It is preferred that applicants have a strong interest in behavioral science and a desire to learn and implement Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques.
The Behavior Technician will implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), providing one-on-one support to children with autism to acquire new skills and reduce challenging behaviors. They will also collect data, provide feedback to the BCBA, and contribute to a motivating and engaging learning environment through play-based activities and teaching procedures. Additionally, the Behavior Technician will participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, and may assist with project and leadership initiatives.
