Candidates should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and ideally have experience working with children, particularly those with autism spectrum disorder. A strong interest in working with children and a desire to learn about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) are essential. Candidates should be able to pass a background check and comply with all state and federal regulations.
The Behavior Technician (BT) and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will work one-on-one with children with autism to implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). They will utilize teaching procedures based on science to help clients acquire new skills, create motivating learning environments, and collect data to track progress. BTs will also provide feedback to BCBAs and participate in ongoing training and professional development, including administrative tasks when needed and contributing to clinical research and portfolio development.
