Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and/or other equipment, following product handling information
- Knowledge of bakery production charts for production, display, and preparation needs
- Skills in packaging freshly baked goods (e.g., cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes)
- Ability to unpack goods from freezer, display proper amounts, rotate, and store products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- Capability to receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Skills in decorating special order or case products
- Commitment to maintaining all cleaning and safety standards in the bakery department
- Understanding of club policies, procedures, and compliance
- Ability to work as a team, with speed, agility, honesty, integrity, and a friendly positive attitude
- At least 18 years old for 401(k) eligibility (implied general requirement)
Responsibilities
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items to members
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information and using bakery production charts
- Gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- Package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage
- Decorate special order or case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following proper food safety, freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Maintain all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies, ensure safe and positive environment, embrace inclusion and diversity
- Deliver GOLD Member Standards: Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA); resolve member concerns; maintain club standards (stocked items, promotions, signage, clean and organized)
- Work as a team to achieve goals and deliver GOLD club standards daily, including Grand Opening Look
