Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and/or other equipment, following product handling information
- Knowledge of bakery production charts for production, display, and preparation needs
- Skills in packaging freshly baked goods (e.g., cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes)
- Ability to unpack goods from freezer, display proper amounts, rotate, and store products following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- Capability to decorate special order or case products
- Experience receiving, inspecting, and storing bakery shipments
- Understanding of cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Commitment to club policies, procedures, compliance, honesty, integrity, and member-focused service
- Ability to work as a team, embrace inclusion and diversity, maintain a friendly attitude, and achieve GOLD club standards (e.g., Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate; Grand Opening Look)
Responsibilities
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items to members
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling instructions and using bakery production charts
- Gather products for next business day preparation
- Package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Unpack bakery goods from freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage
- Decorate special order or case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following food safety, freshness, and product handling policies
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Maintain all cleaning and safety standards in the bakery department
- Carry out job functions as assigned, support flawless execution, ensure safe and positive environment, and deliver service excellence (GAA, GOLD standards)
- Access and read production/financial performance reporting for the department
