Requirements
- Ability to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods using ovens and/or other equipment, following product handling information
- Knowledge of bakery production charts for production, display, and preparation needs
- Skills in packaging freshly baked goods (e.g., cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes)
- Ability to unpack bakery goods from freezer, display proper amounts, rotate, and store following food safety, freshness, and handling policies
- Capability to decorate special order or case products
- Experience receiving, inspecting, and storing bakery shipments
- Commitment to maintaining all cleaning and safety standards in the bakery department
- Understanding of club policies, procedures, and compliance
- Ability to work as a team, embrace inclusion and diversity, and deliver GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate)
- At least 18 years old for 401(k) eligibility (implied general requirement)
Responsibilities
- Answer questions and recommend bakery items to members
- Answer member calls and take special orders
- Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information and using bakery production charts
- Gather products to be prepared for the next business day
- Package freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes, and other items
- Unpack bakery goods from the freezer and display proper amounts based on production chart recommendations, including safe handling and storage
- Decorate special order or case products
- Rotate and store bakery products following proper food safety, freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments
- Maintain all cleaning and safety standards within the bakery department
- Carry out job functions as assigned, support club policies, ensure safe and positive environment, and deliver service excellence
- Work to achieve GOLD club standards daily, including stocking items, executing promotional plans, maintaining signage, and keeping areas clean and organized
