Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer working with JavaScript and Node.js
  • Strong experience building microservices and event-driven architectures
  • Previous experience working in e-commerce environments is highly valued
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS. Hands-on experience with: Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway and S3
  • Experience working with serverless architectures and distributed systems
  • Strong skills in SQL (experience with Snowflake is a plus)
  • Experience using monitoring/observability tools (DataDog preferred)
  • Ability to design, implement and maintain high-throughput ETL pipelines, async jobs and backend workflows
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to take ownership from end to end
  • Experience working with US-based teams or fast-paced international environments
  • Comfortable staying connected via Zoom during working hours

Responsibilities

  • Validating requirements, aligning with Product Owners/Tech Leads/QA, ensuring delivery quality and keeping stakeholders informed
  • Designing, implementing and maintaining high-throughput ETL pipelines, async jobs and backend workflows
  • Defining error-handling strategies for event-driven systems
  • Creating dashboards or KPIs for system health and observability
  • Working with high-volume data pipelines or large-scale async processing
  • Participating in real-time collaboration and seamless team communication via Zoom
