Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer working with JavaScript and Node.js
Strong experience building microservices and event-driven architectures
Previous experience working in e-commerce environments is highly valued
Advanced knowledge of AWS. Hands-on experience with: Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, DynamoDB, API Gateway and S3
Experience working with serverless architectures and distributed systems
Strong skills in SQL (experience with Snowflake is a plus)
Experience using monitoring/observability tools (DataDog preferred)
Ability to design, implement and maintain high-throughput ETL pipelines, async jobs and backend workflows
Excellent communication skills
Proven ability to take ownership from end to end
Experience working with US-based teams or fast-paced international environments
Comfortable staying connected via Zoom during working hours

Responsibilities

Validating requirements, aligning with Product Owners/Tech Leads/QA, ensuring delivery quality and keeping stakeholders informed
Designing, implementing and maintaining high-throughput ETL pipelines, async jobs and backend workflows
Defining error-handling strategies for event-driven systems
Creating dashboards or KPIs for system health and observability
Working with high-volume data pipelines or large-scale async processing
Participating in real-time collaboration and seamless team communication via Zoom
