What We're Looking For

We’re seeking a Backend Engineer who loves building reliable, scalable systems that power great user experiences. You’ll design and support APIs, manage cloud infrastructure, and collaborate across teams to deliver personalized wellness features to millions of users. You have strong Python skills, experience with relational databases, and enjoy working in cloud-native environments. You value clear communication, fast learning, and finding the right tool for each challenge - even if it means stepping outside your comfort zone.

You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, QA, and data experts to create a seamless, holistic wellness journey for our users.

As we expand our hub in Cyprus, we are offering comprehensive relocation support for this role. You’ll receive assistance with everything from visa and paperwork to finding accommodation and settling in. Whether you’re moving alone or with your family, our team will ensure a smooth and stress-free transition. Key Responsibilities

• Shape a Fitness Product: Build and maintain robust APIs for our mobile app, enabling personalized meal plans, fitness tracking, and holistic wellness features.
• Contribute to System Architecture: Collaborate on designing reliable, maintainable, and scalable systems to support millions of users worldwide.
• Integrate Cloud Services: Leverage AWS services (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, S3) to build modern, serverless solutions.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product managers, designers, data experts, and content teams to bring cohesive, user-centric experiences to life.
• Prioritize Sustainable Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code, with a focus on continuous improvement and long-term reliability.
• Contribute to Team Success: Work effectively with teammates and stakeholders to achieve shared goals. Share knowledge openly, communicate clearly, help resolve obstacles, and foster constructive, respectful discussions to solve problems together.

Required Skills

• Product Mindset: Proven ability to translate user needs into impactful features with a strong focus on delivering value.
• Backend Engineering Expertise: Strong experience designing and building scalable backend systems in Python with a solid understanding of API design and system architecture.
• Cloud Infrastructure Experience: Familiarity with cloud services, especially AWS (e.g. Lambda, API Gateway, S3, CloudFormation).
• Database Knowledge: Experience working with relational databases such as Postgres, and familiarity with SQLAlchemy or other ORMs.
