Requirements

Candidates should possess at least 4 years of experience building backend services and APIs using Spring Boot or Node.js, along with strong proficiency in PostgreSQL and working with structured and unstructured JSON data. A deep understanding of RESTful API design, authentication methods such as OAuth and JWT, and security best practices is required, alongside hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, RDS, ECS, and S3, and familiarity with Docker and container-based development workflows. Furthermore, a security-first mindset, particularly concerning data protection and secure system integrations, is essential.

Responsibilities

As a Backend Engineer on the LollyLaw team, you will design, develop, and optimize scalable backend services and APIs in a Spring Boot and Node.js environment, manage PostgreSQL databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval, architect and maintain secure system integrations between multiple applications within an AWS cloud environment, collaborate with front-end engineers to ensure seamless API interactions with Angular-based applications, implement best practices for performance tuning, monitoring, and security in a sensitive data environment, assist with DevOps efforts, particularly in containerization, and contribute to long-term automation initiatives. You will also learn and contribute to the development of AI/ML features and perform other duties as assigned.
