Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of engineering experience, with strong Node.js knowledge, experience in AWS or similar cloud platforms, and proficiency in Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker. Familiarity with Postgres/MySQL, RabbitMQ/Nats/Kafka, and strong system design and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent communication abilities for orchestrating projects across multiple teams. Experience building internal tooling such as npm packages or frameworks is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Backend Engineer will participate in product planning from discovery to deployment, contributing input at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle. They will collaborate with teams to develop new features and APIs, continuously improve products, and fix bugs at high speed. The role involves enforcing standards and best practices, creating tooling, maintaining internal libraries, providing architectural guidance, and owning high-loaded core services. Additionally, the engineer will respond to production incidents and ensure customers receive a high-quality experience with Deel's products.
