Position Overview

CrowdStrike is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to join our dynamic Counter Adversary Operations (CAO) Engineering Team. In this role, you will be instrumental in building globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud ecosystems using Golang. While prior Golang experience is not mandatory, it will be beneficial. CrowdStrike is a leading cybersecurity company, but prior security industry experience is not a prerequisite for this position. We are committed to providing mentorship and training in security topics as needed. A strong interest in CrowdStrike's mission and a dedication to meeting the needs of our product teams and customers are essential.

The CrowdStrike Counter Adversary Operations (CAO) Team integrates CrowdStrike Falcon® Intelligence and the CrowdStrike® Falcon OverWatch™ threat hunting team to effectively disrupt adversaries and increase their operational costs. This synergy of threat hunting and intelligence operations has proven invaluable in detecting, disrupting, and stopping modern adversaries. Leveraging these disciplines and trillions of telemetry events from the AI-powered CrowdStrike Falcon® platform, the CAO Team significantly impacts countering adversary activities. About the Role

As a Cloud Software Engineer, you will take full ownership of feature delivery, working independently once requirements are clear, while receiving support from the team. Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend microservices, from researching areas of concern to implementing final solutions.
• Utilize existing CrowdStrike tools and services to construct cloud-based systems that aid in detecting targeted attacks.
• Collaborate with team members across multiple disciplines to brainstorm, research, define, communicate, and build solutions.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Understand our customers, their challenges, and how we can best support them.
• Maintain a strong focus on code quality through best practices, testing, logging, and metrics.

Requirements

• Experience in building globally distributed, fault-tolerant, and highly scalable cloud ecosystems.
• Proficiency in Golang is beneficial but not required.
• Prior experience in the computer security industry is not required.
• A strong interest in CrowdStrike's mission.
• Willingness to engage with the needs of product teams and customers.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of feature delivery.
