Requirements

3+ years of professional experience in backend development (Node.js, TypeScript, or similar)
Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven architectures
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, query optimization, and data modeling
Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines
Solid grasp of OOP, design patterns, and software architecture principles
Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, or similar)

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize backend services and APIs for Backpack’s core platform
Design and implement scalable microservices architecture to support high-load operations
Improve system performance, reliability, and data consistency through optimized database design and query tuning
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and service monitoring
Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and DevOps teams
Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and promote engineering best practices
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong documentation
Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and tools relevant to large-scale systems
