Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Service Fabric and/or microservices architecture
  • Proven expertise in Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Databricks, Synapse Analytics)
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, container orchestration, and event-driven architectures
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep) and DevOps workflows (CI/CD, version control)
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure (Azure AD, RBAC, Managed Identities)
  • Familiarity with relational (SQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB)
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain Azure Service Fabric clusters for hosting microservices and applications
  • Oversee the architecture of Azure-based solutions, including compute, networking, security, and storage
  • Develop best practices for high availability, scalability, and performance
  • Architect and implement robust data ingestion, transformation, and storage solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Define and manage data governance policies, ensuring security, data quality, and compliance with regulations
  • Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to create efficient data pipelines
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep
  • Implement DevOps best practices to streamline release cycles and improve operational efficiency
  • Work with security teams to design and maintain secure network architectures, identity and access management, encryption, and threat protection on Azure
  • Continuously assess and remediate vulnerabilities, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Establish policies for data privacy, retention, and disaster recovery
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical designs and project roadmaps
  • Mentor and guide junior architects, engineers, and developers on Azure best practices
  • Present architectural recommendations, proof-of-concepts, and technology roadmaps to senior leadership and stakeholders
