Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, along with over 10 years of progressive experience in AWS cloud computing. An AWS Certified DevOps Architect certification is preferred, and in-depth knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, EKS, RDS, Lambda, and CloudFormation is essential. Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases like PostgreSQL, and proven experience in architecting and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Terraform are also required, along with an advanced understanding of source code management.
The AWS DevOps Architect will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable AWS infrastructure, automating provisioning with Jenkins, GitHub, and Terraform. Responsibilities include overseeing infrastructure maintenance and optimization, collaborating with development and operations teams to define requirements and drive improvements, and spearheading enhancements in the Change Management process. The role involves architecting and managing CI/CD pipelines, building and managing monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack, and conducting regular security audits. The architect will own the deployment process, create detailed deployment artifacts, document infrastructure configurations, and communicate project progress to stakeholders. Additionally, they will collaborate with cross-functional teams for troubleshooting and process enhancement, and stay informed about industry trends to improve team capabilities.
