Requirements
Candidates should have 1 to 3 years of experience in Apache Spark, PySpark, and Amazon Glue, along with 2+ years of experience in writing ETL jobs using PySpark and SparkSQL. A deep understanding of the Dataframe API with all supported transformation functions is required, and prior experience with AWS EMR and Apache Airflow is preferred. AWS Certified Big Data – Specialty, Cloudera Certified Big Data Engineer, or Hortonworks Certified Big Data Engineer certifications are also desired.
Responsibilities
As an AWS Data Engineer, you will write efficient code in PySpark and Amazon Glue, write SQL queries in Amazon Athena and Amazon Redshift, explore new technologies and learn new techniques to solve business problems creatively, collaborate with various teams including engineering and business to build better data products and services, and deliver projects collaboratively with the team while managing customer updates on time.
