Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
  • Preferred
  • 3+ years of manufacturing / industrial engineering experience
  • 3+ years of Automation or Controls Engineering experience
  • Experience with AB PLCs, AB Motion Control, AB Independent Cart, FANUC (LR, SR)
  • Rockwell Software Experience (Studio 5000, View Designer, FT View)
  • Mechanical Engineering or Machine Design experience
  • Proficient in Data Analysis: Microsoft Excel, Power BI
  • Customer service or technical support involvement
  • SAP business system knowledge
  • LEAN Six-Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
  • Previous experience in a highly automated environment

Responsibilities

  • Leverage automation and controls experience to optimize the machines on a highly automated line
  • Maintain and update mechanical/assembly drawings for in-line fixturing
  • Demonstrate an awareness of state-of-the-art and lean manufacturing concepts and practices
  • Demonstrate an ability to coordinate activities through all levels of the organization to achieve objectives
  • Utilize data analysis, computational skills, and appropriate software to maximize productivity
  • Possess a high level of production process knowledge
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing problems including (but not limited to): issues with mechanical assembly machinery and fixtures, electrical issues, and controls/software related issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in assembly machinery and fixtures
  • Obtain, organize, and analyze data and prepare charts and reports
  • Lead the development and implementation of cost reduction programs and achieve department and plant targets
  • Perform other duties as assigned
