Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or direct equivalent experience with property/casualty claims handling
Ability to organize data, multi-task, and make decisions independently
Above-average communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to write reports and compose correspondence
Ability to resolve complex issues
Ability to maintain confidentiality and data security
Ability to effectively deal with a diverse group of individuals
Ability to accurately deal with mathematical problems, including geometry and financial calculations
Valid driver's license and a driving record consistent with the Company’s underwriting guidelines
Knowledge of property/casualty claims handling
Ability to drive an automobile
Strong financial literacy

Responsibilities

Investigate, evaluate, and settle entry-level insurance claims
Study insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to develop foundational knowledge
Learn and comply with Company claim handling procedures
Develop entry-level claim negotiation and settlement skills
Serve the needs of agents, insureds, and others
Meet and communicate with claimants, legal counsel, and third-parties
Develop specialized skills, including estimating and utilizing computer-based programs for loss adjustment
Study and obtain adjuster’s license(s) as required
