Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of five years of related work experience, with audit, risk, or controls experience preferred. They should possess an undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience, and a graduate degree is preferred. Prior experience in a Professional Practices role is strongly preferred, and a CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification is desired. Experience in quality assurance and internal audit within a regulated environment is also required.

Responsibilities

The Audit Methodology & Quality Assurance Manager will lead and manage the development and maintenance of methodology and quality assurance programs, including benchmarking against professional standards and regulatory expectations. They will conduct independent quality assessments of internal audit activities to ensure adherence to standards and identify improvement opportunities, and support the department’s strategic initiatives, particularly those impacting or impacted by IAS’s methodology. The role involves assisting with annual audit planning, ensuring a consistent methodology across audit teams, and coordinating data gathering for management reporting. They will build strong relationships with IAS stakeholders, act as a technical resource, identify training opportunities, and provide coaching and development to the team, while also supporting coordination of regulatory or client requests for information and participating in special projects.
