Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance, and have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, with private investment valuation experience being preferred. A solid understanding of ASC 820 and IFRS 13 is required, along with familiarity with PWERM, OPM, and Current Value valuation techniques. Experience managing financial data, building summarized reports, and constructing, testing, and implementing valuation models is also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Associate, Valuation Governance will prepare valuation documentation for private equity, private debt, and other alternative investments, supporting monthly and quarterly valuation cycles. Responsibilities include managing data workflows to third-party valuation firms, ensuring accurate valuation inputs, and providing high-quality client service by addressing inquiries, performing controls, problem-solving, and mitigating risks. The role involves initiating and driving platform and process innovations, reviewing and coordinating sign-offs on valuation templates from service providers, reviewing legal documents for new securities, preparing materials for the Valuation Committee, liaising with independent auditors, and reviewing fair value reporting from underlying managers and sponsors.
