Requirements

Candidates should possess a background in editorial production work and conceptualisation, a network of photographers and photo agencies, familiarity with web tools, content management systems, photo editing programs such as Photoshop and Photo Mechanic, and video editing tools as a bonus. Basic coding skills are considered a plus, and strong news judgement with an expansive understanding of mobile-first experience and design is required.

Responsibilities

The Associate Picture Editor will produce and build visual assets for Financial News and Private Equity News on their digital and print platforms, perform general photo research as needed, pitch visually innovative and original approaches to features coverage, maintain a budget on a quarterly basis, assign photography and run their own shoot production, commissioning original content on location, and collaborate with the design team on special projects like FN100 Most Influential Women in Finance and Rising Stars of Finance, creating palettes and visual languages.
