Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in life science-related fields, Engineering, Biostatistics, or Programming, or a related field. Prior clinical research experience, process development experience, or data assessment/analytics experience of at least 6 months to 1 year is desired. The role requires a high degree of independence, comfort with decision-making and documentation, and the ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities. Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, is essential, along with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Experience with databases with a scientific background and advanced Microsoft Excel skills are also beneficial.

Responsibilities

The Associate Patient Data Specialist will independently perform critical assessments of subject data in collaboration with study teams, determining optimal data manipulation approaches. They will lead interdepartmental discussions to explore strategies and practices for utilizing diverse databases. Responsibilities include reviewing subject data from multiple sources to identify trends, risks, gaps, and optimization areas, and preparing/analyzing clinical trial patient datasets while adapting to trial developments. The specialist will provide concise updates to stakeholders, continuously enhance their knowledge in programming, technology, and clinical trials, and assist in developing department documents and policies. They will gain a thorough understanding of protocols, EDC, systems, contracts, and budgets, escalate performance issues, lead internal team meetings, and manage escalations regarding tracking system setup and maintenance.
