Requirements

Participate in sales pursuit teams as the financial subject matter expert for new business opportunities
Understand customer’s financial baseline and savings expectations
Help sell profitable new business by understanding client requirements, competitive assessment, internal governance requirements, and preparing commercial proposals
Demonstrate critical thinking by questioning cost inputs from solution teams and advising sales leads and bid managers on deal structure, T&Cs, and pricing approaches
Review contract language and understand its impact on the cost model
Understand financial impact through financial modeling, arrive at financial metrics, and perform thorough financial analysis
Prepare pricing structure, accurate P&L, cash flow forecast models and metrics (payback), capital plans using appropriate tools and advanced MS-Excel skills, adhering to DXC policies
Document financial assumptions and ensure they are carried into customer response documents and detailed finance opinions, supported by appropriate contractual T&Cs
Be aware of current accounting policies and revenue recognition policies impacting contract financials, communicate them early, and propose favorable contractual language
Prepare custom pricing in customer-required format, reconcilable to internal views for approval
Mitigate DXC financial exposure and risks, understand business risks, and inform leadership
Propose improvements to deal structure and competitiveness based on prior experience
Provide sound financial analysis to assist leaders in business decisions
Identify and resolve issues, communicate actions to leaders, and be responsive to requests for additional analysis
Handle financial presentation and discussion during internal and leadership reviews
For won deals, ensure proper financials and information are passed to the delivery phase finance manager
Exhibit teamwork, build and maintain relationships with pursuit team members and leaders
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, communicating proactively and articulately

Responsibilities

Proactively work with deal pursuit teams to develop and support new business opportunities that strengthen and protect corporate business and financial interests
Ensure proposed commercial solutions comply with standard business principles, financial, and commercial terms of the corporation and business unit
Prepare pricing for DXC service offerings for client submission
Develop financial plans and models, innovative alternatives
Work with deal pursuit teams on commercial proposals including pricing for customers
Support deal governance approval processes
Ensure delivery and smooth transition of the plan to the delivery team for implementation
