Requirements

  • ~5 years professional experience in similar roles within banks, financial institutions, or ECAs/MLA — ideally in sales or structured finance. (Required)
  • Master’s degree (with excellent results) in Finance, Economics, or a related field. (Required)
  • Fluent English and Italian. (Required)
  • Spanish is a plus. (Preferred)
  • Professional background in export finance, structured and/or project finance transactions, with knowledge of related documentation. (Required)
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. (Required)
  • Excellent attention to detail and critical thinking. (Required)
  • Commercially driven, proactive, results-oriented, and comfortable working both independently and in a team. (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of corporate clients, helping them identify ECA/MLA-backed financing solutions tailored to their needs
  • Originate new business opportunities, both inbound and outbound
  • Prepare client presentations, term sheets, and preliminary documentation
  • Lead the internal approval process, from drafting papers to presenting to committees
  • Collaborate with structuring teams in Madrid and origination teams across Santander’s global network
  • Maintain an active relationship with SACE and other ECAs and MLAs to identify new opportunities and support ongoing negotiations
