Requirements

  • Proven experience in software development, with a strong background in various programming languages, frameworks, and tools
  • Software architecture experience
  • Linux/Unix system programming and open-source frameworks experience (e.g., gcc/C)
  • Web API experience and architectural styles (e.g., REST)
  • JavaScript frameworks experience (e.g., React)
  • Test automation development experience (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, etc.)
  • Configuration management experience (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins, etc.)
  • Database concepts knowledge: relational, NoSQL, and modeling
  • Cloud-based technologies experience (e.g., Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • Container technologies experience (e.g., Docker, etc.)
  • Knowledge or experience with ServiceNow (preferred) or Salesforce
  • 4+ years of experience leading or supervising a software engineering team, with a track record of successful projects
  • Strong background in cross-platform software engineering
  • Experience growing teams and delivering projects
  • Active background in software engineering with extensive middleware and databases exposure
  • Capability to engage at a ‘design & code review’ level
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Deep understanding of software methodologies
  • Ability to balance technical expertise with business acumen
  • Experience in a rapid-growth start-up enterprise or international environment with an entrepreneurial mindset

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership to build, motivate, guide, scale, and mentor team members including performance management coaching
  • Perform the role of the technical leader combined with the ability to fulfil the role of a Solution/System Architect, Senior Product owner or a Full stack engineer
  • Oversee the technical aspects of software development projects, from initial planning and requirements gathering to implementation, testing, and deployment
  • Act as liaison between external vendors and internal product, business, engineering, and design teams
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, addressing any issues or bottlenecks that may impact project timelines or software quality
  • Support detailed documentation of systems and features
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development, incorporating relevant advancements into the team's processes and methodologies
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of the organization's software development processes, tools, and standards
  • Scale teams that work end-to-end on new and existing features, enhancements, and defect resolution on AT&T’s software systems and platforms
  • Collaborate closely with U.S based Product Management, Business Systems, and Operations teams throughout system development life cycles
