Requirements

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in public relations and corporate communications, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within a global organisation. In-house experience at a publicly traded technology company is highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Proven experience developing and executing successful communication strategies across multiple international markets, with a deep understanding of the nuances of different media landscapes and cultural contexts
  • Exceptional communication skills as a gifted writer and speaker, able to distill complex information into clear, concise, and compelling messages. Fluency in both written and spoken English is essential; proficiency in other languages is a strong plus
  • Strong media relations acumen with a robust network of contacts across the global media landscape and a proven track record of securing high-quality media coverage
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully managing complex and sensitive communication issues with a calm and strategic approach (crisis management expertise)
  • Collaborative leader and team player with experience managing and mentoring a team of communication professionals and agency partners across different time zones
  • Strategic thinker who can connect communication initiatives to business objectives and is driven by measurable results (strategic & results-oriented)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute global communications strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive, multi-channel communications strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances corporate reputation globally, including creating compelling narratives and ensuring message consistency across all regions
  • Lead global media relations: Serve as a primary spokesperson, cultivate strong relationships with top-tier international media, market leaders, and high-profile influencers (including celebrities and key opinion leaders), and proactively identify and secure high-impact media opportunities
  • Navigate complex issues & crisis communications: Lead crisis communication efforts, developing and executing strategies to protect the company's reputation in challenging situations
  • Drive executive communications & thought leadership: Partner with senior leadership to develop public profiles through media training, speaking engagements, and crafting compelling thought leadership platforms
  • Manage a global network: Oversee global network of PR agencies, ensuring they deliver exceptional results and provide a strong return on investment
  • Champion internal communications: Develop and execute an internal communications program to foster a vibrant and informed internal culture that engages and aligns global teams with the company's mission and values
  • Data-driven insights: Measure the impact of PR and communications efforts using data and analytics to refine strategies and demonstrate value to the business
