Requirements

  • Hands-on leadership experience in customer service, production planning, and demand forecasting
  • Ability to develop and maintain models for manufacturing production schedules and Materials Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Experience managing tactical planning activities based on MRP, including work order placement and management
  • Proficiency in obtaining and analyzing forecast information from customers, development teams, and historical data
  • Skills in scheduling production work orders, prioritizing operations, and ensuring material availability
  • Capability to serve as primary point of contact for forecasting activities and customer order monitoring
  • Experience tracking and trending key production and supply chain metrics, preparing reports and presentations for executive leadership
  • Ability to identify, escalate supply chain risks, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions
  • Knowledge of analyzing supply problems related to parts and inventory management
  • Background in supporting new product development planning and site strategic planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead all areas of customer service, production planning, demand forecasting, On-Time-Delivery performance, and customer communication
  • Manage planners and schedulers, ensuring customer satisfaction and demand fulfillment
  • Serve as primary contact for incoming demand (sales orders, forecasts)
  • Analyze data to support business plans and manage daily functions
  • Develop and maintain models for Best in Class Manufacturing Production Schedules and MRP processes to manage production throughput and inventory
  • Manage master production schedule, on-time delivery metrics, and cross-functional communication of delays, issues, and impacts
  • Manage tactical planning activities based on MRP, including work order placement, forecast determination, material availability, and prioritization of operations
  • Schedule, prioritize, and track production work orders through the process, avoiding delays and constraints
  • Identify and lead productivity improvements in supply chain practices and production planning
  • Monitor customer orders, short-term/long-term forecasts, and communicate with Leadership, Production Planning, Production, and Supply Chain to adjust supply plans
  • Support new product development planning and site strategic planning activities
  • Track and trend key production and supply chain metrics; prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership
  • Identify and escalate supply chain risks related to inventory and production activities
  • Assist in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions
  • Analyze and identify supply problems relating to applicable/appropriate parts
