Requirements

Bilingual (Spanish and English), preferred but not required
Proficiency with computer applications
Student in their final year of university education, preferred
Pursuing a degree/career in education or social services role, preferred
Background working with students in a support service role
Experience working in a high school setting
Valid CA driver's license

Responsibilities

Meet with students on caseload on a regular basis on-site, with opportunities to do so virtually and over the phone
Address academic challenges by providing guidance, tutoring, and/or referral to tutoring services
Troubleshoot challenges inside and outside of the classroom through coaching, mentorship, and referral to appropriate services, including counseling and student stress support
Facilitate workshops on various topics, including time management and study skills
Maintain case notes and update data for students
Contact parents regarding student-related matters
Coordinate events such as study sessions
Occasionally support students and events at additional sites other than primary school
Other duties as assigned
