Requirements

  • Ability to capture great gameplay - highlighting specific features or mechanics with rehearsed playthroughs and smooth camera movements
  • Solid understanding of cinematic techniques: composition, lighting, movement, and shot pacing
  • Knowledge of game engine cameras and animation timelines (Unreal Engine Sequencer or Unity Animation Timeline), C++ or Blueprints, and familiarity with source control systems (Perforce, Git)
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Interest in combining technical development with creative capture and virtual production

  • Understanding of 3D animation, its pipelines, and managing mocap data

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and upkeep of in-engine capture tools, virtual capture facilities, and workflows. Support innovation through R&D - feedback, documentation, and iterative testing
  • Capture gameplay using in-engine tools, cameras, and cinematic systems — navigating game builds with precision, choreograph moments, and frame cinematic shots that showcase mechanics and story at their best
  • Collaborate with directors, editors, and brand teams to deliver content for trailers, social campaigns, or other marketing outputs. Be comfortable taking feedback, re-tooling, or re-shooting as required
  • Record cinematic content using real-time virtual production cameras in custom-built studios using Unreal Engine (Sequencer, Movie Render Queue) or Unity (Cinemachine), with a focus on cinematic composition, timing, and visual clarity
