Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree -OR- Relevant experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities may be substituted year-for-year

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of quality management processes to ensure high standards of service
  • Supervise and mentor team members, fostering a supportive and productive work environment
  • Lead the development and enhancement of programs such as Day Programs, Home Skills Development, Community Networking, Personal Assistance Services, Independent Supported Living, and Shared Living
  • Conduct job interviews and ensure that all team members meet employment qualifications and screenings
  • Verify that all required staff training is completed and properly documented
  • Champion the organization’s long-term and short-term goals and objectives
  • Represent the organization and its clients positively to various stakeholders, including community agencies and members
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key external entities such as the Department of Mental Health and SB40 Boards
  • Ensure adherence to all confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA, in all documentation
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation for billing purposes and maintain client records
  • Actively participate in supervisory sessions and all required meetings
  • Contribute to self-evaluation and team member evaluations, focusing on adaptability, initiative, reliability, motivation, and creativity
